Dr. Damir Cavar
Damir Cavar is an Associate Professor at Indiana University in Bloomington. He has more than 20 years of experience in speech and language processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Software Engineering, and Data Science. He worked in various research labs and in industry in Europe and in the United States focusing Natural Language Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, as well as knowledge based systems and Knowledge Representations.
Stefan Geißler is an experienced entrepreneur in the domain of Natural Language Processing and Business AI solutions. He graduated from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany. In 2000 he co-founded the text mining and NLP startup TEMIS and acted as the managing director of its German branch from 2000 until 2018. In 2018 he joined the Semiring Inc. team as a co-founder, representing the corporation in Europe. He is an expert in business solutions based on NLP, AI, and Data Science.
Valentin Pantchev is a big data, cloud and high-performance computing expert with more than a decade of experience as a CTO and director of business computing centers, and research and development divisions in California and the Midwest.
Matt Rust graduated from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University in Bloomington in 2019. His research and experience in the legal field led to his interest in the intersection of law and technology. Finding and addressing bottlenecks in industry processes guide his involvement in Semiring’s technological applications. He earned his BA in International Studies and Spanish in 2015.
Dr. Anthony Meyer
Anthony Meyer graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington in 2019. He is a Natural Language Processing expert and Computational Linguist, focusing on neural networks, auto-encoders, algorithm optimization, and GPU programming. His most recent project includes knowledge extraction from unstructured text and the use of description logic and knowledge representation frameworks.

Dr. Malgosia Cavar
Malgorzata Cavar is an Assistant Professor of linguistics at Indiana University in Bloomington. She has more than 15 years of research experience in spoken language data and models of articulation and perception, that is phonology, phonetics. She is an expert in language resources, in particular audio and speech corpora. Her main focus lies on speech processing and experimental analysis of speech production. She has entrepeneurial experience in Europe and in the United States, launching IT and technology businesses.
Jacob Heredos graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington in 2016. He is a linguist with a background in phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, and language documentation. He completed a BA with triple majors in Anthropology, International Studies, and Spanish Linguistics.
